With over 10 million #disneyworld posts on Instagram to date, social media is going crazy for Mickey and friends. Hashtags at the ready, here’s how to photograph your way round Walt Disney World Resort, and turn your Florida fairy-tale into Disney Instagram gold.

1. Get an ‘Ear-Shot’ for the Gram

Add some Disney magic to your feed by posting a selfie with your ears. Whether you’re in front of the castle, on a ride, or meeting your favourite character make sure you’re snapped donning Minnie’s sparkly sequin ears or a custom classic Mickey cap. Don’t be afraid to be creative with the ears. You can use it as a prop in front of a really cool backdrop.

2. Can you pose with All the Colours of the Walls?

Boost your instagram game by posing and posting in front of one of the insta-famous walls. Disney grammars from around the world have anointed these walls with their own hashtags. In fact #PurpleWall has over 10,000 posts on the app. Not only that, but the folks at disney have even created merchandise inspired by this wall. You can find Purple Wall near the Tomorrowland entrance next to Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor. Other insta-gold spots worth visiting is the Moss Wall in Pandora at Animal Kingdom (located near Pongu Pongu), Harambe Market (also in the Animal Kingdom) and the entrance to Spaceship Earth in Epcot, where you can find Bubblegum Wall, Toothpaste Wall and Blueberry Wall.

3. A Dream is an Insta Post in Front of Cinderella’s Castle

It’s a tale as old as time, that a picture in front of Cinderella’s castle is an absolute must during a holiday to Orlando. If you plan on taking a pic at the front of the castle (near the entrance to Fantasyland), there are professional photographers around who can take your picture for a PhotoPass (a high-quality image taken by Disney photographers which you can purchase at the parks). If you ask nicely, the photographers can take a quick pic on your phone too. To avoid the crowds, take your photo in front of the bronze statue of Walt Disney and Mickey Mouse. Because why not let Walt and Mickey photobomb you?

4. The Lunch and Snacks of Notre Gram

Anything shaped as a Disney character needs to be shared on social. All the Disney-fied sweet and savoury bites in the parks, and part of Free Disney Dining plan make a great pic for a foodie post. The iconic Mickey Mouse ice cream, which can be found at any ice cream seller in all parks, is a popular prop for pics, as well as the Pineapple flavoured soft served, Dole Whip (You can find it at Tamu Tamu in Animal Kingdom, Marketplace Snacks in Disney Springs, The Drop Off pool bar at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort and at Pineapple Lanai at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.) Another really cool snack to snap is the vibrant Night Blossom drink from Pandora in the Animal Kingdom.

5. I Can Show You the World…in Epcot

When visiting Epcot, why not take the afternoon to document your adventure around the world?  The World Showcase is home to some authentic architecture replications of some the most iconic landmarks around the world. In Morocco you can pose in front of the gorgeous mosaic walls, and the French Pavilion café-style chairs and tables will be a great place to sit and pose when munching on your mickey-shaped croissants. Don’t forget to snap a pic in front of the beautiful Red Torii gate in Japan too. Make sure you capture some of the small details too when at the pavilions. In fact, keep an eye out for a hidden mickey or two.

6. All you Need is Faith, Trust and Cute Disney Captions

Let me share this whole new #disneyworld caption with you. Add some Disney magic to your captions to really boost your likes. For quick and easy one, choose a lyric from a Disney song or even a quote from your favourite character. For something laugh out loud, don’t be afraid to add a little sass with a catchy pun. A pun never bothered us, anyway.
