The Rooms

Everything in the Amavi is coated in a sheen that screams, ‘new kids on the block’. In-room technology means that guests can take in their sea view from bed, bath, and beyond at the touch of a button. It’s never been so easy to have a lazy lie-in and we are absolutely living for it. They’ve even abandoned the traditional ‘do not disturb’ signs in favour of a guest-activated light embedded in the doors. More importantly, every single room is sea-facing, their squeaky-clean sliding doors opening to reveal an expanse of sea and sky.

The Food

We couldn’t go without mentioning the cuisine at the Amavi. From flawless fine-dining at Nocturne, to à la carte Asian fusion overlooking the sea at Immenso, this hotel has got you covered when you’re in need of a feed. Even the casual-chic buffet at Ezaria is a total showstopper, featuring freshly rolled sushi, a caviar bar, and a range of international and traditional Greek dishes prepared at live cooking stations. You may not yet be initiated into the world of Cypriot wine, but with the range on offer here you could leave this hotel a convert or budding connoisseur. Sit back and enjoy a glass whilst you watch the waves at Fortolana, or head to Selene for a dose of modern mixology.

The Vibe

Despite having a fresh face, Amavi Hotel has a super sophisticated air. This is a hotel for grownups and it shows. The staff wafts across the marble floors of the resort in a synchronised ballet, their gentle greetings mingling with soft classical music. Not a screaming child in sight. Guests are even assigned sun loungers and parasols at the beginning of their stay, totally eliminating that ever-ungainly rush to claim a deckchair in the morning. The spa and indoor pool itself is serene, but even in the baking heat outside there is a feeling of tranquillity. Guests can also choose to unwind aside one of two swimming outdoor pools – Saffire, with its stunning beach views, and Evera, with its bubbling waters.
