Emirates’ reputation as a world leader in passenger flight is sealed. The recipient of over 400 international awards for excellence, Emirates Airlines has been busy at its Dubai headquarters (Terminal 3, Dubai International – the second largest building on the planet by floor-space). Here we look at some recent service introductions, and how the Emirates boosts capacity across three continents.

Socialising in the sky

The 1st August this year marked a particularly busy day for Emirates Airlines. As well as launching daily services to Abuja – its most recently acquired destination in Africa – the luxury carrier also introduced new services for Singapore, Boston and Karachi.

Singapore secures new flight

Emirates has introduced a new daily flight between Dubai and Singapore. Flight EK352 leaves Dubai at 9:15pm each day and lands in Singapore the next morning at 9:00am. Returning flight EK353 departs Singapore at 10:35am, arriving into Dubai at 1:45pm.

Boston’s Bigger Boeing

Boston’s regular flight graduated from a Boeing 777-200LR to the bigger Boeing 777-300ER plane. This has created the choice of eight First Class Suites, 42 Business Class seats and 304 Economy Class seats – signalling an increase of 40% and a total of 88 extra seats in Economy. The flight departs Dubai at 8:50am with a 2:45pm arrival time in Boston. The return journey departs the Massachusetts capital at 11:15am, touching down in the Emirate at 7:30pm the following day.

Six times a charm for Karachi

Emirates now provides six services each day to Karachi, the largest city in Pakistan. The excellent new service, numbered flight EK610, departs from Dubai International at 10:35pm with an arrival time of 1:40am the following morning in Karachi. For your returning trip, flight EK611 departs Quaid-e-Azam International Airport in Karachi (also known as Jinnah International Airport) at 3:10am, setting down in Dubai at 4:30am.
