With so many beautiful and awe-inspiring destinations around the world, travelling for me is a prime opportunity to embark on a new adventure. Experiencing the culture, sights, sounds and sampling delicious local food is always exciting. This summer I was lucky enough to travel to Mauritius and Oman with my family. We spent seven nights in Mauritius, staying in two different hotels on opposite sides of the island. After a stunning week in the Indian Ocean we flew to Dubai and spent three nights in a breathtaking mountain resort on the Musandam Peninsula in the Sultanate of Oman. Read on for a snapshot photo diary of my holiday.

Oman: Six Senses Zighy Bay affords the most stunning of views, with the open sea and Al Hajar mountains completely surrounding the magnificent resort. A complete juxtaposition to the luscious greenery of Mauritius, but no less beautiful.

Zighy Pool Villa: Two-bedroom cobblestoned villa with an impressive private pool, plumped up sun loungers and a comfortable shaded living area, perfect to cool you down in the 40 degree heat. The palm trees produce fresh dates that add a splash of colour to this mountainous resort. With so many amenities you can relax in the privacy of your own villa, not to mention the added luxury of a butler if you need anything else.
