To say that Dubai has a lot to offer is an understatement. From the modern buildings to its historic traditions, a Dubai holiday offers nothing short of an unforgettable experience . I’ve been a few times and it never fails to amaze me – every time feels like a completely new experience. From my time spent in Dubai I’ve been lucky enough to witness some of the incredible sights and spectacles, so I’m going to share my top 7 things to do.

1 – Wild Wadi

From those who love rides to those who want to relax and soak up the rays, there is something for everyone. This amazing waterpark was one of the first places I visited as a tourist on my Dubai holiday and I have to say it was an unbelievable experience. With over 30 rides and attractions and plenty of food and beverage options for visitors to explore, you’ll never be stuck for choice.

2 – Desert Safari

For the thrill seekers that want to experience something new, a desert safari is the ultimate action-packed activity. With the vast number of dunes and beautiful desert this is a must-do. Even after the safari, the driver will take you to a bedouin camp where you will spend the evening enjoying a variety of entertainment from camel riding to belly dancing, not to mention sampling the different types of food on offer. Due to the unique nature of this experience, it has to be one of my personal favourite activities to do in Dubai.

3 – Dubai Fountains

Most modern cities have fountains of some sort, but nothing beats the ones in Dubai. When I first saw these, I was stunned by the beautifully choreographed dancing of the fountains in perfect sync with the music. Along with the choreography, the various colours and lights made this experience a magnificent one. If you visit Dubai, this is a must see attraction to visit, and it’s free so what’s not to love?

4 – Ski Dubai

With the sheer heat in Dubai, this indoor ski resort is the perfect place to visit if you want to cool off and experience something completely different and unexpected. Since I couldn’t ski I wasn’t sure if there would be much to do, but I was wrong. There were plenty of activities, such as tobogganing and snowboarding, for the whole family to enjoy.

5 – Swimming with the dolphins

When I visited Atlantis The Palm a few years back, me and my family decided to swim with the dolphins. It was a once in a lifetime opportunity and one of the most memorable experiences in my life to date. Being able to interact with the such mesmerising animals and spend time playing with them was one of the highlights of my Dubai holiday. Since it’s such a unique and rare opportunity this is definitely a must when coming here.

6 – Dubai Mall

For those who want to explore outside the hotel and do a bit of shopping, Dubai Mall is the perfect place to go. Being the largest shopping complex in the world with over 1200 retail stores means that there is nothing you won’t be able to find. This rare shopping complex even has an aquarium and ice rink, making it even more popular with tourists.

7 – Burj Khalifa

With 124 floors in the Burj Khalifa, I think this speaks for itself. As the tallest building in the world, the sheer beauty of it is obvious just from the outside. If you have the opportunity to visit this stunning building, be sure to go up to the top floor to experience the breathtaking views of Dubai.

Even though there are more attractions and places to visit, these are some of my favourite things in Dubai and only a small snapshot of what this magical destination has to offer to its tourists.
