With the world adjusting to the ‘new normal’, we’d like our customers to feel protected, reassured and confident in booking with Kenwood Travel. On this note, we are particularly excited to announce that Virgin Atlantic, one of our premier airline partners, are going the distance (and then some) to ensure that all customers have total peace of mind when they fly. Read on for full details on how you could be safeguarded by Virgin Atlantic’s Covid-19 Cover and what that might mean for you as a Kenwood Travel customer.

Virgin Atlantic have been one of Kenwood Travel’s preferred travel allies for a long time, offering flights from the UK to Orlando, New York, Barbados, Jamaica, Hong Kong, and many other fantastic destinations. Whilst they are well-renowned for delivering on sky-high service, we are delighted that they have gone a step further by adding yet another measure to ensure customers can feel confident when they travel. Partnering with Allianz Assistance, the airline recently declared that they will provide coronavirus insurance for both new and existing customers.

The Virgin Atlantic Covid-19 Cover policy aims to help take care of any health and quarantine costs that may arise should any customer fall ill or experience difficulties with their travel plans due to coronavirus. The Chief Commercial Officer at Virgin Atlantic, Juha Jarvinen, has stated that, “Our priority is always the health and safety of our people and customers and this industry-leading Virgin Atlantic Covid-19 Cover ensures customers can continue to fly safe and fly well with us.”

All customers who have booked any flight or holiday using a Virgin Atlantic ticket departing up until March 31st 2021, will be able to benefit from the policy should they need it. The cover will also apply if flying with a partner carrier such as Air France-KLM or Delta Air Lines, so long as one of the sectors is operated by Virgin Atlantic. Virgin Covid-19 Cover is completely free of charge and is automatically applied, beginning at the point of booking and ending once a customer has returned to their destination in their home country. There is no upwards restriction on the duration of a journey entitled to protection but, for one-way trips, cover will cease 12 hours after the arrival time of your final flight.

What does the free Virgin Atlantic Covid-19 Cover include?
