Things to do whilst on holiday in Kuala Lumpur

Take a trip to the Batu caves just on the outskirts of the city to find a labyrinth of limestone caves and historical Hindu temples. These awe-inspiring caves are well worth seeing and it's definitely worth breaking a sweat up the 272 steps to reach the top temple!

For a wildlife fix in the big city take a trip to the KL Bird Park. Its claim to fame? - ‘billed’ as the largest free flight walk in aviary in the world, here you can experience a whole host of rare and native birds in a cage free environment. You can have parrots on your shoulder, see ostriches go for a run, take a picture with an owl and observe peacocks strolling majestically around the grounds. It all adds up to a really great day out that the whole family can enjoy.

For shopping, Kuala Lumpur offers a great blend of modern shops and designer stores with traditional shopping enclaves and bustling markets. The Central Market near China Town has a real buzz and is the place to go for local handicraft.
